Spacerunner
A downloadable game for Windows and Android
This is a simple arcade space shooter game made in roughly 3 weeks for a small game programming class. It is a game designed for mobile devices, but I've also uploaded a Windows version!
GAMEPLAY:
The gameplay is simple! Use your finger or mouse cursor to control your ship, and blast anything that stands in your way while avoiding incoming obstacles. Lose all three lives, and it's game over!

Asteroid: A typical asteroid. Blow it up, and don't let it hit you! Worth 200 points.

UFO: An enemy spaceship. It will fire lasers at you, so watch out! These are much tougher, but worth a hefty 1000 points.

Power-Ups: There are many types of power-ups, each of which will help you in your journey. Boost your lasers, get bonus points or protect yourself with a shield or bonus lives!
OPTIONS:
Make sure to adjust your music and SFX volume before you start for the best experience! It doesn't always save correctly, so audio may start extremely loud or extremely quiet on start.
Enable 'Use Environment Effects' for the best experience! It looks much better, but is less performant, and thus may affect your experience negatively on low-powered devices.
CREDITS:
I am proud to say that all assets (sprites, code, music, etc) have been made by yours truly! I'm really happy to share this game, and I hope you enjoy it - let me know your high score in the comments!

Minor cripe, it would be nice to have a setting to change the slowness of the ship movement. Other than that, extremely well done. The animations are simple and effective. It's just the ship slowness that bothers me.
Thank you! I did consider messing with the speed of the ship, (and believe it or not it's faster than it used to be) but I felt it added a layer of challenge that I liked. If I ever work on this game again, I may mess with it some more!
