Scale Frame
This game is an entry to Kenney Jam 2026!
Brief disclaimer: In order to actually see the game properly, please play the game in fullscreen! There are two fullscreen buttons, and sometimes one works and the other doesn't. Try both!
How to play:
- Navigating left and right with [A] and [D] respectively and [SPACE] to jump, climb a series of obstacles to reach the top of the industrial amalgamation you find yourself in.
- To interact with Scale Frames, hover your mouse over one and select it with [LMB]. Scale Frames with a '+' icon in the center can be scaled using [W] and [S], toggling between a base (1x) and large (2x) size.
- Scale Frames with a rotation icon in their center can also be rotated by intervals of 90 degrees using [A] and [D].
- Scale Frames can be interacted with at any time, but will only affect the player if they are within the frame's bounds when it is activated. While the player is within an active frame's bounds, it will be affected by the frame's scale and rotation. Use this to your advantage as you climb to the top!
- Selecting a Scale Frame (either clicking on an active one or an inactive one) or pressing [SPACE] will deactivate the active frame, and the player will be released at their current position and scale.
- The player has differing levels of gravity based on their size, and will affect certain tiles differently in addition.
If you get soft-locked, you'll have to reload the game currently. I will add a reload button later, but... I forgot.
I would have liked to make more content for this game, (and I still might) but I'm truly proud of this product and I hope you enjoy playing the game as much as I enjoyed making it.
All sprites, art and fonts (excluding Blindtree/Unity branding) were sourced from Kenney.nl.
